You are not alone, the factory headlight adjustment mechanism's on these vehicles are not durable, not only can the green housing crack, but the internal gears can crack, as well as the internal teeth of the gear connected to the bolt can strip.
In any of the above conditions, what you will find is that you can turn the headlight adjuster bolt all you want, but the actual headlight components internal to the headlight housing do not actually adjust, leaving you with improperly aimed headlights that are not only irritating, but dangerous.
3dCadWurx has solved this problem, no longer do you have to scour junk yards, or Ebay in hopes you find a good used adjuster, or worse yet, be forced to buy either new OEM or cheaply made aftermarket headlight assemblies which are inferior to the OEM optics.
We've engineered a different solution, opting to bypass the 90º gear setup for a direct connection to the adjustment rod internal to the internal components, our solution literally has no way of wearing out any gears and is made of carbon fiber ABS, so it's very strong and durable.

Installation instructions:
- Remove the OEM headlight adjusters with a Phillips screwdriver and keep the screws, they will be reused.
- Install new 3dCadwurx headlight adjusters onto the shaft protruding from the headlight, shaft has two flat sides, make sure you line up the new adjusters to match the flat sides of the shaft and rotate outer body to align with the screw holes
- Install the two Phillips head screws you removed in step one to secure the new head light adjusters.
Important Notes:
Miata headlights have a habit of breaking the internal ball and socket assembly that secures the bottom of the internal headlight components, usually you will see a broken rear plastic housing just below the headlight adjusters.
If this ball and socket is broken internally, the 3dcadwurx headlight adjusters will still function, however with that ball and socket broken, the internal assembly will shake every time you guys hit a bump in the road.
It is suggested you make sure no other components of the headlight are broken (besides the OEM adjusters themselves) before ordering this product. If the internal ball and socket are broken, it can be fixed, it usually takes full disassembly of your headlight and a repair involving fiberglass cloth and JB weld to fix, not an expensive repair, but a bit time consuming.
